Program overview
From June 6th to 8th 2024, the Vietnam Wildlife Action Center (WildAct) hosted the Empowering Women in Conservation training workshop at Chư Yang Sin National Park. The program was led by expert trainers from WildAct and the Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Endangered Species (CBES).
Training content
Over the course of three days, participants delved into in-depth knowledge and skills on essential topics in the conservation field, including:
- Conservation Project Management: Equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to establish a logical project framework, manage and report finances, mitigate risks, manage human resources, and more.
- Interviewing Methods in Conservation Projects: Guiding participants through interviewing techniques, data analysis, data identification, data refinement, descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and interpreting interview results.
- Developing Field Data Collection Applications
The Empowering Women in Conservation training program in 2024 exemplifies CBES’s commitment to promoting gender equality and developing high-quality human resources for biodiversity conservation in Vietnam. With its practical contributions, CBES is confident that the program will contribute to positive and long-lasting changes in the conservation sector, leading to a sustainable future for Vietnam’s natural environment.
