CBES at UK Festival 2023

On September 16th, CBES had the honour of partnering with the Chevening Alumni Programme Fund at the United Kingdom Festival.

About UK Festival

In 2023, the UK and Vietnam celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This milestone is a chance to celebrate half a century of deepening friendship between the UK and Vietnam with many achievements across all sectors. This is also a chance for the UK and Vietnam to look ahead to the next 50 years with ever-closer partnerships.

In order to increase the visibility of the UK – Vietnam bilateral relationship during the anniversary year, the British Embassy Hanoi and Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City are planning a campaign “The UK and Vietnam: Building for the Future”, focussing on three key themes: Education, Trade, and Sustainability. One of the key activities is the UK festival series in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. These Festivals will be a showcase of UK culture, products, and commercial expertise, and a celebration of the best of UK-Viet Nam cooperation over the last five decades.

During the event, a series of cultural activities were organised to celebrate the rich tapestry of the UK – Việt Nam partnership as well as UK culture and arts. The festival offers a unique opportunity to explore the United Kingdom’s contributions and deep connection with Việt Nam.

CBES partners with Chevening Alumni Programme Fund

CBES is honoured to attend The UK Festival 2023 as a partner of Chevening Alumni Programme Fund (CAPF). CAPF is an organisation that has been supporting CBES in effectively carrying out activities and conveying important messages about marine conservation to the community.

At the event, CBES presented a small exhibition to the community with a message to protect the ocean and marine life. Specimens such as shells, dolphin skulls, and captivating images of marine wildlife brought the world of the ocean closer to people in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to experience the basic steps of rescuing stranded marine mammals. The CBES and Chevening booth attracted a large number of visitors, and everyone was enthusiastic about the exciting experiences at the booths.
